wonderful for beginners:
I bought this for my daughter who is always drawing something & she just loves drawing the pcitures from this book. Very easy to use. Each picture is broken down for easy duplication by a beginning artist. Highly recommend.
Good for Building Confidence, but Result Doesn't Approach Realism:
This is a step-by-step guide to drawing very simple representations of different kinds of people: giants, workers, an angel, a ballerina. The instructions are very easy to follow, and the youngest artists will be gratified by their ability to imitate the pictures in the book. Very basic book for younger kids:
My almost 6 year old daughter enjoys this book. It's fairly basic, and not a large book (about 30 pages). It has the following people that can be drawn: workman, angel, giant, pirate, queen/king, ballerina, soccer player, scuba diver, astronaut, parachutist, skier, ice skater, cowboy, horse and rider, and a page for making faces with different emotions (sad, angry, etc.)
For kids who love to draw:
My 5 year old daughter loves to draw and color. She would do it for hours. The other day I pulled this out to see if she would be interested, without hesitation she opened the book and page by page drew the people. She did a great job! The illustrations are simple, colorful and very kid friendly. I highly recommend this book for any child who loves to draw or color.
